Pain (A Poem)

“Pain” is my favorite poem. Enjoy.

“Your constant nagging makes it difficult to breathe,
suffocating the soul, stifling the mind.
Getting off from torturing the innocent;
let me breathe, let me live.
I cannot find you lurking within;
you hide, I seek, but never win.
A coward in the shadows of my soul,
Come out come out wherever you are.

You have great control over mind and body,
crippling your host, you know no other way.
What if you were gone and I was free?
Would you miss me, would I grieve?”
